How We Started

Back in 2018, I was working at a mid-tier fund in Sydney, spending hours every week trying to make sense of financial reports that felt disconnected from actual market reality. The tools available either oversimplified everything or buried you in data without context.

"We needed analysis that bridged the gap between raw numbers and actionable investment insights. Something that understood both the technical requirements and practical constraints of real portfolio management."

So we built what we needed. Started with three analysts working nights and weekends, creating frameworks that actually helped us make better investment decisions. Word spread quickly in the Sydney finance community, and by 2020 we had investment professionals from across Australia asking to use our tools.

What began as solving our own problem became olvariquex - a company focused entirely on providing financial analysis that investment professionals can actually use in their day-to-day decision making.
